The Windmill in Ewshot is an old fashioned village public house with traditional values, a warm welcome away from the fast lane of life.
The pretty flint and brick building dating from the 18th century, with documents relating to the first sale of the house in 1786. In 1835 the house, orchard and barns were bought by a brewer and the building was known as 'The Windmill Brew Shop'. In 1863 the outbuildings at the from were pulled down and rebuilt in flint and brick.
Today you can relax in our spacious garden
with its fantastic views or play a round on our 18 hole putting green. In the cold Winter enjoy our warm atmosphere and log fire.
We are one of the few remaining pubs with a
dartboard and we provide cards, cribbage and other games.
Whether you start for a meal or just come in for a drink the welcome is the same
Sarah the chef's passion comes across in her food, cooking a traditional menu of freshly prepared traditional and not so traditional food. Her Blackboard Menu allows her to change the menu daily. We source local seasonal ingredients where possible.
Our cellar has up to to 4 real ales at one time and a selection of lagers, ciders and stout. We keep the cellar to a high standard and hold the Cask Marque of Excellence Award.
The garden is large and has plenty of space for children to play
